Stock solution (SL).
Systemic herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds. Combination of a non-selective (glyphosate) and a hormone (MCPA) herbicide. Glyphosate is absorbed by the leaves and tender shoots of weeds and inhibits the EPSPS enzyme, preventing the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids. MCPA is absorbed by the leaves and roots of broadleaf weeds and moves through the symplastic and apoplastic pathway and accumulates on the meristematic tissue, thus inhibiting weed growth. Symptoms appear 2 – 4 days after spraying.
