Selective herbicide to combat broadleaf weeds and grasses during their sprouting, in various crops. It is also applied for tobacco desuckering. At the biochemical level, it affects mitosis by preventing the formation of mitotic spindle microtubules. It acts by contact and prevents the development of axillary buds, following the topping of American Burley and Virginia tobacco.
