The preparation contains the active substance mesosulfuron-methyl and belongs to the sulfonylurea group (action mechanism: [HRAC group]: B). It acts by inhibiting the ALS enzyme, acetolactate synthase. It is a systemic post-emergence herbicide, to control certain grass weeds in cereals. Absorbance in plants is mainly carried out through the leaves, but it is also possible through the roots. The results from the product use on weeds appear a few days after application, as growth stop, appearance of chlorotic spots and sprout necrosis. Sensitive weeds are completely dried out in 4-6 weeks after application.
